Troubleshooting Guide
Use this page when RightStockAI is not behaving as expected. Start with the quick checks, then move to the section that matches your issue.
Quick Checks
Try these first:
- Refresh the page.
- Check your internet connection.
- Open RightStockAI in a new browser tab.
- Try a private or incognito window.
- Sign out and sign in again.
- If a page is stuck, wait a few seconds and refresh once.
If the issue continues, contact support with the page name, what you clicked, and a screenshot that does not show private account details.
Sign-In Problems
Magic Link Did Not Arrive
Check these items:
- Confirm that you entered the correct email address.
- Check spam, promotions, and updates folders.
- Wait a few minutes before requesting another link.
- Use the newest magic link if you requested more than one.
- Keep the link private. Do not forward it or post it anywhere.
Magic Link Expired or Opens an Error Page
Magic links are time-sensitive and usually work only once.
What to do:
- Return to the sign-in page.
- Choose Email me a magic link.
- Open the newest email from RightStockAI.
- Use the link in the same browser if possible.
Signed In on One Browser but Not Another
Sessions are browser-specific. If you switch browsers, devices, or private windows, sign in again with a new magic link.
Page Looks Locked or Limited
Some tools may show a lock, upgrade message, or usage message.
That can happen when:
- The tool is included in a different plan.
- Your current usage allowance has been reached.
- You are signed out.
- The app needs a refresh after sign-in.
What to do:
- Confirm you are signed in.
- Refresh the page.
- Check the live pricing page for current plan details.
- Contact support if you believe the tool should be available to your account.
Analysis Is Not Loading
If a stock report or AI analysis does not load:
- Check that the stock name or symbol is correct.
- Try searching by company name instead of symbol.
- Refresh the page once.
- Try a different analysis tool to see whether the issue is limited to one report.
- Check whether the page shows a plan or usage message.
- Try again after a few minutes if the report is still being prepared.
If you contact support, include the stock name, analysis tool, approximate time, and what message appeared.
Analysis Result Looks Different Than Expected
Reports can differ because tools use different research angles.
Check:
- Did you open the same stock symbol?
- Are you comparing reports created at different times?
- Is one report using news while another is focused on chart or fundamentals?
- Is the report a preview instead of the full view?
- Did market conditions change after the report was created?
If the result still looks wrong, send support the tool name, stock symbol, and a screenshot with private details hidden.
Market Data Looks Old
Market data can look unchanged when the market is closed, between refreshes, or during temporary data delays.
Before reporting the issue:
- Check whether the market is open or closed.
- Look for a last updated time on the page.
- Refresh the page once.
- Compare another market page in RightStockAI.
- Wait a few minutes if the market has just opened.
If only one stock looks wrong, include that stock name when contacting support.
Report or Page Shows a Preview
A preview means the page is intentionally showing limited information.
This can happen when:
- You are on a plan that includes preview access.
- The feature requires a different plan.
- The app is showing a teaser before upgrade.
- A saved report is available but a fresh run is limited.
Use the message on the page first. Then check the live pricing page if you need current access details.
Portfolio Value Looks Wrong
Portfolio values depend on the holdings you added.
Check:
- Quantity entered for each holding.
- Purchase price and date.
- Whether the stock symbol is the correct listed stock.
- Whether all holdings were imported or saved.
- Whether the market price is updating.
If an uploaded file did not import correctly, review the file format shown in the app and try again with a smaller file.
Portfolio Upload Fails
Try this cleanup checklist:
- Remove extra rows above the column headers.
- Remove blank rows.
- Keep one holding per row.
- Make sure quantity and price are numbers.
- Use a consistent date format.
- Avoid merged cells.
- Upload a smaller test file first.
If the app provides a sample file or required columns, match that format.
Watchlist or Alerts Are Missing
If a stock does not appear in a watchlist:
- Confirm that it was added to the correct watchlist.
- Refresh the page.
- Check whether you are signed in with the same account.
- Try adding the stock again.
If alerts are not appearing, confirm that browser notifications are allowed and that the alert condition has actually been reached.
Charts Are Blank or Hard to Read
Try these steps:
- Refresh the page.
- Change the chart timeframe.
- Turn indicators off and on again.
- Try a wider screen if the chart feels cramped.
- Use another browser if the chart area remains blank.
On mobile, rotate the device or use desktop for detailed chart review.
Mobile Layout Issue
If something feels hard to use on mobile:
- Refresh the page.
- Scroll slowly; some cards stack vertically.
- Use the bottom navigation for common areas.
- Open the menu for the full navigation.
- Use desktop for wide tables, large charts, or portfolio upload.
App Feels Slow
RightStockAI pages can feel slower when a report is being generated, market data is busy, or your browser is low on memory.
Try:
- Close unused tabs.
- Refresh the page.
- Disable heavy browser extensions for this site.
- Try a different browser.
- Use a stable network connection.
Payment or Plan Question
For current pricing, plan features, renewal details, or upgrade options, use the live pricing page. This documentation does not list prices because pricing can change.
If a payment succeeded but your access did not update, contact support with the approximate payment time and the plan you selected. Do not send card details.
What to Send Support
When asking for help, include:
- The page or tool name.
- The stock symbol or portfolio name, if relevant.
- The message shown on the screen.
- The approximate time the issue happened.
- Your browser and device type.
- A screenshot with private account details hidden.
Helpful screenshot rules:
- Hide your email address.
- Hide payment details.
- Hide magic links.
- Crop out account menus if they are not relevant.
- Show the page message or report section that needs help.
Do not send:
- Magic links.
- Payment card details.
- Passwords or private account codes.
- Full screenshots that show sensitive personal information.
